John is responsible for relation management for the firm’s select funding sources, business development and financial and credit analysis, structuring and advice. He has extensive experience in business, financial services and community economic development activity. He is a former Vice President and the State Director of Community Development Lending – Florida, for First Union National Bank of Florida (later Wachovia Bank, N.A. and now Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.), with the responsibility of managing the bank's community development programs, including economic development and affordable housing activity in urban communities. John is the founder and shareholder of Merchants Bankcard Systems of Florida, Inc.; and the founder and shareholder of a licensed mortgage brokerage firm. He founded and operated a substantial non-profit community economic development organization, which specialized in financing/financing small and medium-size businesses using public/private capital programs and strategies. During his career, as a Chamber of Commerce Executive, he was instrumental in the formation and capitalization of a Minority Enterprise Small Business Investment Company (MESBIC, now known as SBIC), a public/private program administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, which purpose was to invest in and/or lend to qualified businesses in the local market area. He also successfully formed and capitalized a small business manufacturing up-start, which heavily involved his strategic business planning and management capabilities. John holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Florida A & M University, Tallahassee Florida, USA.

Simon is responsible for business development including institutional and government activity. He is a founding member of Simba International Finance, LLC. Simon is the founder of Wandana International Import Export (A Nairobi-Kenya entity, formed in 1995) and Wandana, and a co-founder of Service Plus Temps (a staffing agency formed and operating in Jacksonville Florida). Before joining Simba, Simon held various roles and positions with the Central Bank of Kenya, Middle Africa Finance, and Chase Home Finance. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, Jacksonville Florida, USA.
Name: Artie S. Hope

Artie is responsible for financial modelling and business plans. He is a former Chief Financial Officer of a Healthcare organization; a former Managing Partner of a certified public accounting firm; a former Financial Analyst and Regional Controller for Florida National Banks of Florida, Inc. (before merger with First Union National Bank, Wachovia Bank, N.A. and now Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.); and an Audit/Accountant Associate with a regional CPA firm and with Haskins & Sells, (before merger with Deloitte & Touché) a former “Big 8” International Accounting Firm, which serviced a variety of multi-national clients. He was a Member of the Duval County Housing Finance Authority, Jacksonville Florida for approximately 6 years where he was involved in over $300 million in revenue housing bonds for “affordable housing” for the County of Duval, State of Florida, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Jacksonville University, Jacksonville Florida, USA.
